Alien Swarm is a futuristic first-person top-down shoot-em-up shooter computer game and Source SDK release developed by Valve Corporation. The game is a remake of the Alien Swarm mod for Unreal Tournament 2004, developed by the original team after they were hired by Valve. And now Valve is releasing Alien Swarm as free full version game, increasing the number of free games on Steam.

Alien Swarm is now been released for free to Steam players on Windows platform. Mac OS X version on Steam is not available yet though. It also does not support controllers currently. Alien Swarm includes a modified Source engine between the L4D2 and Portal 2 iterations that is separate from other Source games.

Valve is also releasing the complete source code base for Alien Swarm that features updates to the Source engine as well as the SDK with full Steamworks integration. The SDK includes a tile-based level designing tool called TileGen, which is separate from Valve Hammer Editor used for other Source games. TileGen allows level designers to prefabricate rooms and hallways that can be either arranged in a certain way or randomly arranged based on generation rules.

Instaleaza Nero 10 BurnLite – gratuit si fara Ask Toolbar

Nero a ajuns deja la versiunea 10 si ofera suport complet pentru Windows 7. Versiunea gratuita pe care urmeaza sa o prezint astazi poarta numele de Nero BurnLite 10 si contine, in principal unelte simple de copiere si de scriere a CD-urilor/DVD-urilor.

Principalele functionalitati sunt deja existente in Windows 7, acesta putand sa scrie nativ atat CD-uri/DVD-uri audio, cat si de date.

Numai ca acesta vine cu o instalare de tip BloatWare, instaland fara permisiunea utilizatorului toolbar-ul Ask.com pentru browser.

Am cautat si o solutie pentru acest incovenient, fiind un sustinator al browser-elor toolbar-free, iar in continuare aveti rezultatul acestei cautari.

1. Primul pas consta in descarcarea Nero Burnlite 10 folosind link-ul direct de mai jos: (link-ul oficial necesita inregistrarea adresei de e-mail)

2. Rulati executabilul si asteptati decomprimarea fisierelor in directorul temporar.

3. Dupa finalizarea extragerii si aparitia InstallShield Wizard, apasati butonul Cancel 

4. Acum apasati Start Orb-ul, si scrieti Run. Apasati Enter.

5. In caseta Run scrieti %temp% si apasati Enter pentru a deschide directorul temporar al aplicatiilor.

6. Cautati directorul NERO20100709115641857. Acesta contine fisierele necesare instalarii Nero 10 BurnLite, decomprimate la pasul 2.

7. Deschideti directorul si cautati fisierul setup.ini. Deschideti-l cu ajutorul Notepad.

8. Mergeti la linia [ISSetupPrerequisites] si stergeti al saselea rand de sub aceasta: PreReq5= Ask Toolbar.prq , apoi salvati fisierul.

9. Acum rulati fisierul Setup.exe din director si continuati instalarea.

Drivere Windows 7 pentru laptop-uri

Astazi voi continua seria de articole cu legaturi catre drivere pentru Windows 7. De data acesta voi enumera principalele companii producatoare de laptop-uri si voi pune link-ul corespunzator fiecareia dintre acestea.

Laptop-urile au luat de ceva timp primul loc in vanzarile de calculatoare. Windows 7 vine, teoretic cu toate driverele necesare si ar trebui sa recunoasca prin Windows Update toate componentele unui laptop. Acest lucru nu se intampla insa de fiecare data asa ca cel mai bine descarcam driverele de pe site-ul producatorului.

De aici putem descarca atat cele mai noi drivere cat si manualele de utilizare sau update-urile BIOS. Acestea din urma, nu mai necesita cunostinte avansate de operare pe calculator pentru a fi updatate ci ofera o interfata grafica/vizuala cu ajutorul careia finalizati update-ul in doua click-uri.

Pe masura ce voi mai gasi marci si link-uri necesare, voi updata acest articol.

Nota: In cazul in care nu dariti driver-ul compatibili sistemului de operare pe care doriti sa il instalati, puteti incerca instalarea unor drivere mai vechi. Pe Windows 7 am reusit sa instalez cu succes, in mai multe cazuri, chiar si drivere de Windows XP.

HotSpotShield – VPN gratuit pentru accesarea Hulu.com

In schimb voi prezenta o modalitatate de a viziona o gama larga de filme si seriale direct din fata calculatorului. Site-ul care permite acest lucru este Hulu.com si este, probabil, cea mai mare “televiziune online”, daca ii putem spune asa. Pe acest site gasiti atat cele mai nou trailere cat si cele mai noi episoade din serialele pe care le urmariti. Nu mai trebuie sa asteptati ca acestea sa apara pe posturile de televiziune din Romania, ci le puteti vedea in cel mult 24 de ore de la difuzarea lor in SUA.



Exista si cateva dezavantaje pentru Hulu.com:

- nu este permisa vizualizarea filmelor in afara statelor unite

- la fel ca orice televizune, hulu intrerupe continuitatea filmelor cu reclame

- nu aveti cum sa folositi subtitrari (filmele sunt in engleza, si sunt destinate unui public vorbitor de engleza)

Probabil va intrebati acum de ce v-am mai spus despre hulu daca este destinat doar locuitorilor SUA. Fiindca am gasit o modalitate de a accesa si folosi pe deplin acest site chiar si din Romania. Metoda implica un serviciu VPN gratuit (ad-suported).

Programul care ne va conecta la acest VPN poarta numele de HotSpot Shield, si deoarece nu am foarte mare incredere in serviciile sale de pastrare a datelor persoanle (se lauda si cu asa ceva) il folosesc doar atunci cand intru pe hulu.com. In plus, reclamele pe care le va afisa sunt destul de enervante, pornind cu sunet fara vreun avertisment in prealabil.

Totusi, pana un astfel de serviciu/site va aparea si in Europa (in Romania exista deja muvix.ro, dar nu are o varianta ad-suported), este cel mai facil mijloc de consumare a continutului video premium.

Pentru a va conecta la VPN-ul gratuit, trebuie sa faceti click dreapta pe iconita din System Tray/ Notification Area si sa selectati optiunea Connect/ON. Veti fi intampinati de urmatoarul tab (deschis in browser-ul implicit)

De aici, e simplu. Apasati butonul Connect si asteptati desemnarea unei adrese IP virtuale. Dupa afisarea mesajului Connected puteti incepe navigarea ca si cum ati locui in Statele Unite. Prima oprire: Hulu.com

Recomandarea mea este Start Trek VIII – First Contact, film pe care l-am revazut extrem de bucuros saptamana trecuta.

Pentru a va deconecta de la serviciul HotSpot Shield, trebuie sa mergeti din nou pe iconita din System Tray/ Notification Area si sa selectati Disconnect/OFF. Acum apasati butonul Disconnect si aveti din nou IP-ul original.

Laptoplock – Sterge datele importante de pe Laptop-ul tau furat

Ti-ai pierdut Laptop-ul? Sau ti-a fost furat? Primul lucru la care te gandesti sunt banii pierduti iar apoi realizezi ca datele stocate in acesta erau la fel importante si cel care il detine iti poate fura mai mult decat Laptop-ul precum  banii din contul bancar impreuna cu alte informatii personale.

Problema poate fi rezolvata cu  un singur program numit Laptoplock cu ajutorul caruia  datele se pot cripta sau sterge  odata ce Laptop-ul a fost pierdut.

La configurarea aplicatiei este nevoie de un ID al Laptop-ului, adresa de e-mail si o parola pentru ca schimbarea setarilor sa nu fie accesibila oricui. Odata inscris pe site-ul http://www.thelaptoplock.com/ , in sectiunea Control Panel trebuie introdus un nume pentru Laptop-ul pierdut astfel incat sa fie generat ID-ul; adresa de e-mail trebuie sa coincida cu cea folosita la inscriere.

Al doilea pas este alegerea fisierelor si folderelor pentru stergere sau criptare, care poate fi efectuata prin adaugarea acestora listelor respective.

De asemenea se poate seta un status Laptop-ului, Missing sau Stolen (Disparut sau Furat) pentru a putea fi accesate alte setari ce includ adaugarea unui anumit mesaj cand este folosit etc. Totusi este nevoie ca Laptop-ul sa se conecteze la Internet pentru a face posibila efectuarea actiunilor precizate . Toate informatiile gasite pe sistemul pierdut  precum data cea mai recenta in care conectat la Internet , vor fi trimise la adresa de e-mail folosita.

Fix Adobe Photoshop CS5 Was Unable to Start Correct (0xc000007b) with Cracked amtlib.dll

Adobe Photoshop CS5 is the new version of graphics editing program, which is part of Adobe Creative Suite 5, and is replacing Adobe Photoshop CS4. Once released for retail purchase, hackers had managed to crack the activation system of Adobe Photoshop CS5 by using keygen (key generator) to create a fake but accepted valid serial key number, and then modifying the hosts file and using a cracked amtlib.dll to prevent Adobe programs to contact and communicate with Adobe’s server for activation purpose.



On 64-bit Windows 7, Vista or XP operating system, after installing the 64-bit (x64) version of Adobe Photoshop CS5, the application may not run properly or cannot start with the following error message, after user replaces the amtlib.dll file.

The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Click OK to close the application.

The issues happens because the amtlib.dll for 64-bit version of Adobe Photoshop CS5 is different from the 32-bit version of amtlib.dll. When users attempt to crack or pirate Adobe Photoshop CS5, a cracked or hacked version amtlib.dll is required to be copied to %ProgramFiles%\Adobe to replace all amtlib.dll files that used by various Adobe programs. However, the amtlib.dll is of 32-bit (x86) version only with file size 891 KB. The 64-bit (x64) of amtlib.dll has the file size of 1.18 MB.

In 64-bit OS, the 64-bit program of Adobe Photoshop CS5 is installed into “C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS5 (64 Bit)” folder, while the rest of the programs which are 32-bit, are installed into sub-folders of “C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe” folder. Thus, the correct method is to only replace and overwrite amtlib.dll which is located inside “C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe” folder, and does not touch or modify the 64-bit version.

For users who have backup the 64-bit amtlib.dll in “%ProgramFiles%\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS5 (64 Bit)” folder, just replace back the original amtlib.dll, and the Adobe Photoshop CS5 will work properly.

Adobe has released the latest iteration of Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe CS5, which is the 12th major release of a collection of graphic design, video editing, multimedia creation and web development applications.
