When you pin a favorite program to the taskbar, it can be easily accessed with a single click. If you want to have a clutter-free desktop, you might want to pin Computer and Recycle Bin icons to the Taskbar for the easy access.
But pinning the Computer icon to the taskbar is not possible by default. Generally, Windows 7 displays Pin to taskbar option when you right-click on a program, but you can’t see Pin to taskbar option for Computer.
In order to pin Computer to Windows 7 taskbar, you need to do a small workaround. Here is how to:
1. First, right-click on Windows 7 desktop > New > Shortcut.
2. Enter the below address location of item filed, and click Next button.

3. In the following window, type in a name for the shortcut (Ex: My Computer). Click on the Finish button to see a new shortcut icon on the desktop.
4. Obviously, you can now drag and drop your new shortcut icon on to the taskbar to pin it. But if you want to decorate the new shortcut with the default Computer icon, you need to do follow next two steps.
5. Right-click on the shortcut icon (new icon), go to Properties. Click on change icon button and enter the below address in the file location box.

6. Now select the Computer icon and click Apply button. Pin the icon to the taskbar either by right-clicking and selecting “Pint to Taskbar” option, or by dragging icon to the taskbar.
As you may know, by default, you can pin a website page to your default browser’s jump list only. So, here are the steps you need to follow in order to pin a website link to Windows 7 taskbar:
# Right-click on the desktop, select New and then select Shortcut to launch Create Shortcut wizard.
# In the location box, you need to enter browser’s installation path followed by website address. For example, if you want to pin Into Windows shortcut to the taskbar and want to open open it in Internet Explorer browser, you need to type the following command:
“C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe” http://www.intowindows.com
# Click Next to enter a name for your shortcut and finally click Finish button to close the wizard.
# Now, simply drag and drop the shortcut to your taskbar to pin it. Click on the shortcut to launch the website in your favorite browser.

In concluzie, programele de mai sus sunt un fel de Adobe Acrobat Reader de la Microsoft, fiind destinate consumului de continut si nu crearii acestuia. Mi se pare normal sa nu avem instalata o suita Office pe fiecare calculator doar pentru a vizualiza documente, asa ca aceaste mici aplicatii imi par deosebit de folositoare.
But why take the longer? Well as Jason mentioned earlier in his the article, Windows 7 is very customizable. We can change various aspects of operating system such as themes, the start orb, resize thumbnail previews and even the task switcher. Now for someone like me who doesn’t like to pile up installed applications, having a whole program just to customize a small part of the OS is just wasteful. The only available choice is to either apply these tweaks manually or rely on a tweaking utility such as WinBubble. This might seem a bit advanced for some people, but can be interesting for those who want to glimpse at how libraries work under the hood. Enough with the introduction, let’s dive straight into the steps!
Have you ever wondered where libraries are really stored? We are told that they are “virtual” or a “special” type of folders that can display files from different locations at the same time and in one place. Well a library is stored as an XML definition file having the file extension .library-ms and the same name as the filename of that file. Because each user has their own libraries, they are placed in the user’s storage space (C:\Users\{username}). The fastest way to access the directory where libraries are actually stored is to copy and paste the following in the start menu’s search bar or in Windows Explorer. Make sure to replace the {username} with the name of the user before pressing Enter.
C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\LibrariesI don’t think this requires any explanation. If you like unnecessary complicated stuff or want to show off, try this in Windows Explorer or the Run command:

A simple way to do so is to just drag and drop the library to the open Notepad window. Another way would be to right-click on its icon, click on ”Open with…” and choose “Notepad” from the list of programs available. Once it’s opened in Notepad, you should see something like this:
As you’ve probably guessed, this represents information about the library. Look for the child element <iconReference> in the file. This element defines the icon resource that is used for the library. That is the icon of the library. If you still can’t find it, add it yourself! Type <iconReference></iconReference> under the <isLibraryPinned> element. The file should now be similar to the following:

Although the subheading might make it sound like a piece of cake, it actually isn’t! We’re now going to type the path of the new icon. To make things simpler, we’re going to install a small program called IconViewer to view icons stored in dynamic link library (dll) and .exe files. You can download it for free from here. Once, you’ve installed it:
Now that you know its number/name, type the following between the iconReference tags ”imageres.dll,-{#}“, replacing the text in red with the number/name of the icon you want to use. You should have something that looks like that:

We’ve used it in this example because it’s the “Windows Image Resource” and contains a nice collection of icons. Save the file and close it. You should see the change immediately happen after refreshing. Maybe it’s just me, but I find this way more enjoyable (yet length) than using a program. What do you think? I’ve spent a good deal of effort on this, so any feedback would be appreciated.
From time to time, you may run into the problem that a program you have installed as an administrator will not run as a non-admin.
Some of the problems that you are likely to experience are:
Some programs will need to run in administrator mode for them to function properly. And it may be hard to remember which of those programs should run in administrator mode in order to utilize all of the features. To avoid this, you can make any programs to run always in administrator mode without the need to every time right-click on the program and then choose “Run as administrator”.
But if you install the program for others to use, and you don’t want to give them Admin rights or privileges, how do you do this? Try these simple steps. Click start, and select the program that you want to run with admin privileges.
Select Properties from a Program
Next select the compatibility tab.
Compatability - Privilege Level
Select the privilege level. Click Apply and OK. This program will now run under the administrator account, without having given the user any special privleges or rights.
Troubleshooting and administrative maintenance will not be needed in this case, and the admin also does not need to keep tabs on which programs are running under the “run as” operation.
Asa ca m-am pus la cautat. Printre primele rezultate a fost CamStudio. Un program care arata foarte bine, are o interfata intuitiva si toate functionalitatile de care aveam eu nevoie. Numai ca varianta portabila nu era cea mai fericita in compania Windows 7 si nu am putut sa opresc inregistrarea decat cu “End Process” deoarece ecranul incepea deja sa aiba propria personalitate.
Cu parere de rau am lasat CamStudio deoparte si am cautat alt program. Ma interesa in primul rand portabilitatatea, simplitatea in utilizare (nu aveam nevoie de prea multe optiuni, iar pentru editari ulterioare oricum am Windows Live Movie Maker) si nu in ultimul rand o dimensiune mica a aplicatiei (ce rost are o aplicatie portabila care ocupa jumatate de stick USB?).
Dupa indelungi cautari am gasit AutoScreenRecorder chiar pe Softpedia. Programul vine cu toate functionalitatile necesare:
- folosirea tastaturii pentru a controla inregistrarea (Pause/Resume)
- posibilitatea de a inregistra doar o anumita portiune a ecranului sau doar o fereastra
- posibilitatea de a inregistra sau nu pointer-ul mouse-ului
- posibilitatea de a selecta codecul folosit pentru inregistrare

There are a huge number of third-party tools to allow you to securely wipe all the data on a hard disk in Windows, but did you know that Windows 7 itself contains a hidden utility for not only wiping data on drives, but also down to specific folders if you wish?
While I’ve been writing my new book, Troubleshooting Windows 7 Inside Out, I’ve had to research all sorts of stuff in Windows 7 (and I’ll be sharing more in coming weeks) and one of the little gems I found is a command line utility called Cipher.exe.
This is run from the Command Prompt (you’ll need to run it as an Administrator) and is simplicity itself to use.
The command is Simply cipher /w x:\folder where you would substitute x:\folder for the location you want wiped, for instance your D:\ drive or your C:\Users\Mike Halsey\Music folder.
In the help for the command it says it…
removes data from available unused disk space on the entire volume. If this option is chosen, all other options are ignored. The directory specified can be anywhere in a local volume. If it is a mount point of points to a directory in another volume, the data on that volume will be removed.
This will then write 1s, 0s and then random characters to each sector of the drive to securely wipe the data.
This is but one purpose of the cipher tool which is generally used to backup and restore encryption keys for the EFS (Encrypted File System) system that’s been around since Windows 2000. This wipe feature though is new to Windows 7.
I would always recommend you use any tool like this with extreme care, but if you are dumping a hard drive or replacing an ageing PC, this is an excellent and completely free way to wipe your data forever.
# Type regedit in Start menu search box and hit enter. Click Yes for the UAC prompt.

” , m-am decis sa fac un tutorial special pentru asa ceva si sa nu mai raspund la fiecare in parte ce si cum. Tutorialul mai jos:Calitatea este proasta, dar nu execrabila. De ce? Tutorialul initial cu grafica buna avea vreo 582 MB si nu il puteam uploada mai nicaieri, asa ca l-am redus la 69 MB.
Tre sa fi prea prost, sa nu intelegi ceva din tutorialul asta, facut si in romaneste, si pas cu pas ca pentru handicapati. Mie nu mi-a dat nimeni mura in gura si a trebuit sa imi bat capul zile sau chiar saptamani sa aflu ce si cum si sa duc instalarea la bun sfarsit.
Asa ca ziceti mersi de tutorialul asta, si asa prost cum se vede, pentru ca SE POATE INTELEGE DIN EL si asa, daca esti atent.
Daca intampinati probleme, sunt gata sa raspund la ele oricand, dar sa nu aud faze ca nu am inteles ceva din film, pentru ca am explicat cum am putut mai bine si mai detailat.
Ce pot sa zic, bafta la instalat de Mac!
Fata de Superbarul din Windows 7, Quick Launch-ul are cateva avantaje. Unul dintre aspectele pentru care il prefer in defavoarea Superbar-ului este faptul ca pot sa adaug un shortcut la My Computer si astfel sa imi pastrez desktopul curat ( sa am numai gadget-uri, nu si icon-uri. )
Mai mult sunt si cateva programele pe care nu le pot baga in Superbar si se ofera singure sa isi faca scurtatura in menu ( Windows Explorer) ceea ce nu ma ajuta foarte mult.
Dar ajunge cu vorbaria inutila si sa va explic cum se poate readuce la viata Quick Launch-ul si in Windows 7. Incep prin a mentiona ca acesta nu a fost inlaturat ci doar a fost putin ascuns. Pentru “a-l scoate la lumina” trebuie urmati urmatorii pasi:
