I know many of our readers like to be able to customize their OS, so this little guide will show you how you can change your Windows 7 logon background.
Now just a quick note: The background that you want to change to must be a .jpg file and smaller than 256kb. One more thing, there is different directions based on which version of Windows 7 you have, so make sure you follow the right ones.
For Windows 7 Home Premium Users please see page 2 of this post
1.Open the run dialog box (that’s the Winkey+R) and type in gpedit.msc and hit OK.
2.This will open up your Local Group Policy Editor. You then want to go to Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\System\Logon
3.Then double click on Always Use Custom Logo
4. The next thing you want to do is choose enable in the new window that pops up, then click Ok to close the window. Then close Local Group Policy Editor.
Then finish it off follow the instructions on the last page of this post.
For Windows 7 Home Premium users, see page 2
